| Today at Eastwood Garage, Tony Colombini from Classic Industries joins Dennis to show off the latest reproduction shift plates and consoles for GM cars. As the conversation begins, it is apparent that something “shifty” is about to take place (please forgive us)!
For years, shift plates and consoles have been a headache for those trying to restore first or second generation Camaros or Firebirds, but not anymore! Tony begins by showing Dennis the latest reproduction shift plates available for first generation Camaros. Not only will these parts fit exactly as they are supposed to, but they also have the correct finish: the plate for the1967 Camaro is flat black, the plate for the1968 Camaro is walnut, and the one for the 1969 Camaro is in cherry. In addition, they also carry the shift plate for the 1967 Firebird with the correct burled walnut finish! In addition, for those first generation cars that didn’t have consoles, they also have shift boots for GM shifters and for Hurst shifters as well!
Recently, the demand for second generation Camaro and Firebird parts has really taken off. Classic Industries is well ahead of the rush! They also feature shift plates for these 1970-1981 models. Speaking of consoles (were we?); they have fully assembled consoles for Camaros or Firebirds. If you just need particular “pieces,” they have those parts as well. Tony also brought a couple of the sweet console replacements for 1963 and 1964 Impalas, either of the automatic or four-speed variety! These replacement parts will absolutely make that interior restoration complete. You can bet you will hear, “ooh” and “aah” when someone takes a peek at your ride!
So there you have it! There is no longer an excuse for having a raggedy console or shift plate when the folks from Classic Industries have exactly what you need! If you would like more information on these parts, you can visit them on the web at www.classicindustries.com, or you can give them a call at 888-GM-CATALOG! Plus, don’t forget when you are looking for unique automotive tools and supplies for your automobile restoration, you should give the folks at Eastwood a visit at www.eastwood.com.
