"Front and Rear Floor Pans"
Written by Keith Fudge

Today at Eastwood Garage, Wes Watts of The Paddock joins Dennis to discuss the latest in floor pan replacements for classic Mopars.  As the conversation begins, the discussion turns to just how these vintage Mopars such as Cudas and Challengers have increased in value.  Now that these cars are approximately 30-40 years old, it is definitely time to take a stand against that ever present enemy - rust!  Chances are, if you find one of these cars to restore, it has probably spent a lot of time out in the elements.  Some of the areas that you will have to examine closely are the floor and all the metal underneath the car.  So, that is why Wes is here!

Wes begins to show Dennis a variety of sheet metal designed for 1970-1974 Challengers and Cudas.  First, Wes shows Dennis one serious piece of sheet metal in the form of a full front-floor piece.  This part covers the car from rocker panel to rocker panel and stretches back from the firewall to the front of the rear seat.  It is a single stamping complete with the tranny tunnel and all the proper bolt holes, drain holes, and seat slides.  In fact, Mopar licenses this piece!   Wes goes on to say that if you don’t need to replace the entire floor, you don’t have to!  The Paddock has single floor pans for the front or rear.  You don’t have to worry about installation problems with these pieces either, because they fit just as if they were from the factory!  The Paddock has trunk pans too and with all the hardware that you need to make the installation right.  As Wes and Dennis add at the end of the segment, “With the price of these cars today, a restoration is worth doing right,” so let The Paddock help you get there!
