" While many folks recall the one-year-only 'Hornet SC/360' as being the fast compact car that it was (and rare at only 784 built), fewer remember that the 360-V8 was still available in a Hornet through 1974. This early-'73 is the first of the hatchback-bodied Hornets, of which probably less than 200 got a 360-V8. That makes this car four times as rare as the SC! I am the actual second owner of this nearly-all-stock beauty. She's heavily optioned, missing just three such items. Also, while loaded, the original buyer added a dual exhaust system and rear anti-sway bar very early in the car's 122,000-mile life. She was raced through the early 1980s before becoming a fair-weather cruiser through the 1990s. Now, she's being readied for her first car show season in 2005. I'm also making stealthy mods to push her into the 13s at the strip...without any internal changes to the motor or trans...and no nitrous nor fuel injection. Not possible? Car Craft magazine did it in 1973.
I'll do it in 2005. "
Ron Dixon's 1956 Chevy 210 " Love to go to car shows but have more fun racing. Motor by Bryan Smith Stillwater Aircraft Services, Stillwater. Ok. 532ci plus 175 NOS, Daily driver, 10.70's et on the motor and 9.90's on NOS, not bad for a 4050lb car. "
Michael Ko's 1968 Ford Mustang
" Great fan of your show. I am a little younger than most of your viewers. I am 31 and been collecting and restoring newer and older classic cars since I was 16. I guess that I appreciate the older cars that were built before I was born. This is my 68 Mustang. Although not as rare or original as some of the cars on your show, I did a full rotisserie on it so every nut and bolt is new. With the recent trends towards restomods, I have a very hot 5.0HO EFI conversion under the hood with the factory A/C and power steering. It has a T5 5 speed but still looks retro with the original shifter. Unlike some restomods, I have left the body basically stock and correct but everything that is modern about the car is hidden which makes it unique. I guess I am inspired by Jay Leno. I hope I have the chance to show it to you some day. There is a lot of money and hours spent that the photo does not show. Thanks and keep up the good work! "
